Roy Harris completed five works during his time in Logan:

  • Elegy and Paean, for viola and orchestra, performed by William Primrose and the Houston Symphony
  • Kentucky Spring, commissioned and performed by the Louisville Symphony
  • Fruit of Gold, a symphonic poem commissioned by UCLA for the centennial of the discovery of gold in California
  • “They Say That Susan Has No Heart for Learning,” written for the South High School in Salt Lake City
  • Toccata for Piano, premiered in the first concert of the 1949 Summer Music Festival
