Valentine's at Time Nightclub
In the past few years, some in Iran have advocated for replacing Valentine's Day with the Zoroastrian Sepandarmazgan as the true Iranian day of love. While the campaign has gained some traction in the Persian-speaking social media, it has not been very successful in replacing Valentine's Day with its ancient Persian equivalent. At this Southern California nightclub, no one seems to care about the national origin of the occasion as long as they can dance, drink, and have a good time.
Hosted by the Orange County Persian Community (OCPC), young Iranians celebrate Valentine’s Day at a nightclub in Newport Beach, dancing to a mix of Persian party hits.
