World War II ends, and the USAC student
population balloons. Aggies begin work
on the Temporary Union Building (TUB).
Students dancing in the TUB.

1952
Taggart Student Center opens
for the 1952 Christmas dance.
The Taggart Student Center, c. 1953.

1957
E.G. Petersen Agricultural Building completed.
Edith Bowen Laboratory School enrolls the first
elementary classes. The Utah State Agricultural
College renamed Utah State University.
Program celebrating the opening of the Edith Bowen Laboratory School.

1962
A 5.7 magnitude earthquake strikes Richmond, Utah. As a
result, several USU structures are condemned, including
the Mechanic Arts Building. Though condemned in 1966,
the structure remained in use until 1984.
