President E.G. Peterson receives funding from
Utah's governor to construct both the Ray B. West
and Geology Buildings for housing U.S. troops

1921
During A-Day, students lay the
concrete Quad walkways and
plant the surrounding maple trees.

1927
The Aggies celebrate the
construction of the first official
football stadium on campus.
The Utah State football team enters Romney Stadium
through the portal entry, c. 1955.

1929
The U.S. stock market crashes and initiates
the Great Depression. The UAC renamed
the Utah State Agricultural College (USAC).

The college, using funding from
the Public Works Administration,
constructs the Home Economics
Building, today known as Family
