Mean Girls is a teen comedy released in 2004 by director, Mark Waters.

After being homeschooled in Africa for twelve years, Cady Heron moves to a small town outside of Chicago and enrolls in a public high school. She soon realizes the price of being popular and that being apart of The Plastics isn't everything she thought it'd be. Cady comes to find that staying true to yourself is the way to make good friends and be a happier person.

In Mark Waters' production of Mean Girls, the film teach teenage girls to incorporate feminism into their lives while staying true to yourself and not succombing to the pressures of popularity.
