Description

This is an Ancient Babylonian clay tablet, named Plimpton 322 for its numbering in the G.A. Plimpton Collection at Columbia University. It is thought to contain a table of Pythagorean triplets or numbers that satisfy the three sides of a right triangle. The Babylonians counted in base 60, featured on the tablet.
