Two of the bills prohibited all forms of advertisement for intoxicating beverages from being delivered by the United States Post Office. In addition to the text of the bills, the bulletin contains excerpts of several organizations' reactions to the proposed legislation. Most dissenters argued it set a precedent for the limitation of freedom of the press. This bulletin provides a sample of the types of arguments and language used by the anti-prohibitionists leading up to the passage of the Volstead Act in 1919.
