Herman opened Sav-On Sporting Goods Store at 2229 Washington Avenue in Ogden, Utah in April of 1960 and became one of the biggest and well-known retail stores in Ogden. Unfortunately Herman had to liquidate his store in 1978 as his store plus 80 more on Washington Avenue was purchased to build Ogden City Mall. Their son Marc Rubin decided to open the business back up a few years later and started selling merchandise from his garage. A new location opened at 39th and Washington but currently rests at 2736 S 1900 West, with a new owner, Justin Nakaishi who took over the family business in 2009.</text>
