Alicia Espinoza talks about her childhood in Santiago, Chile, joining the LDS Church when she is 14 years old; the difficulties during the political crisis with Pinochet. She talks about her education, becoming an LPN and a dietist [dietician]. She talks about serving an LDS mission; meeting her husband and moving to the U.S. She compares her life in Utah to life in Santiago. She talks about her oldest son translating for her. She also talks about the importance of education and keeping her culture alive and how she does that in her own family, including foodways.
