Transcript of Jack London letter to Charmian London, dated July 30, 1910.
[Original at Jack London Ranch]

My Own Woman:-
I wish you were here. I'll come down to you if you say. Ay and
I'll cut out the Jinks if you say so. Let me know.
I figured on writing a letter that would not lay me open to criminal
or civil libel nor to contempt of court. I think I succeeded, but there is
no telling. Samuels, a sheeny shoe peddler! Bah! My blood boils. I can
make him sick that he ever locked horns with me.
As long as you have me, and deem me worth while, you have no license
to be blue.
(signed) Mate-Man.
