U.I.C. Mendon Station Ticket Sales and Baggage Receipts, August, 1923

This is an example of the records that U.I.C. station agents were required to document daily. The book contains information regarding ticket sales and baggage receipts at the Mendon Station. The front cover explains the instructions agents needed to follow to keep this record accurate and updated. The pages following are an example of a one-month period (August of 1923) of records from the daily affairs in Mendon. Note that this book differs from the 1931 record in that it also has a field for agents to collect a "War Tax."
