The #ManBun reached its crowning glory (bad pun intended) in 2015. The Internet was flooded with image after image of men wearing their hair up in style that had been more typically worn by women in the US. But no longer. Soon we had Instagram’s ManBunMonday, DailyManBun, ManBunShun, and ManBunsofDisneyland—charmingly manbunned dads and unbunned tots in the Magic Kingdom. #PoliticiansWithManBuns gave us a tasty up-do on President Obama but left us with the question: “How do I unsee Nixon in a messy bun?” The buns raged across the internet and spread onto the streets. Now, it’s rare to walk across a college campus without seeing The Bunned Ones.
