Warranty Deed to the Schellhas Brewing Company (1 of 2), 1890

This deed records the lots purchased by William Schellhas of the Schellhas Brewing Company from Matthew S. Browning and M. A. Browning in 1890. William Schellhas was a business partner of the Becker family when they resided in Winona, Minnesota. William Schellhas established the Schellhas Brewing Company along the Ogden River in 1890. In 1891, he sold his shares in the company to Gustav Becker and the Schellhas Brewing Company became the Becker Brewing and Malting Company.
