Logan Rapid Transit Company $500, Six Percent First Mortgage Gold Bond and Coupons, 1913

Description

This gold bond was created for the inauguration of the Logan Rapid Transit Company on January 1, 1913. The bond was worth $500 with a 6% annual interest rate for the company's first mortgage. It was created and authorized by the Ogden Savings Bank. Attached are bond certificates worth $15 for the purpose of funding the company. The bond is stamped as paid on April 29, 1915 at the time that the Logan Rapid Transit Company and the Ogden Rapid Transit Company were merged into the Ogden, Logan and Idaho Railway Company.
