Title
U.I.C. Abandonment Letter, Geo. Preston to Herschel Bullen, February, 1947
Description
This letter from Geo. Preston, an Attorney in Logan, Utah, refers to a hearing over the Utah-Idaho Central Railroad and its future operation. Preston notes on February 14, 1947 that the situation seemed to be hopeless, that the financial situation of the U.I.C. was beyond the ability to maintain operations, and that Judge Johnson could not be persuaded to rule in favor of continuing the U.I.C. Preston does state that the line connecting Logan to the O.S.L. to Main Street could continue to be used temporarily under certain conditions.
