Price Agreement Contract, 1897

Description

This document is a contract between the major beer distributors of Ogden, Utah. Fred J. Kiesel, George Landsberg, J. F. McCarron and the Becker Brewing and Malting Company agreed to not sell Eastern beer for less than ten dollars a barrel, or eleven dollars a barrel on bottled beer. Fred J. Kiesel was the Ogden distributor for the Pabst Brewing Company, George Landsberg represented the W. J. Lemp Brewing Company, J. F. McCarron sold Schlitz Brewing Company products, and the Becker Brewing and Malting Company held the local agency for the Anheuser-Busch Company.
